Privacy Policy
NoteGuru is provided by NoteGuru Studio (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how information is handled when you use NoteGuru, including information processed by the Firebase and AdMob services integrated into the app.
1. Your notes and personal content
NoteGuru does not upload your notes or other content you create in the app to NoteGuru Studio’s servers. We do not receive or access your note content. Your note content remains on your device.
This does not mean that no information leaves your device: third-party services may process technical and advertising information as explained below.
2. Third-party services
NoteGuru uses Firebase and Google AdMob, both provided by Google. Information processed by these services is governed by their terms and privacy policies.
Google AdMob. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share IP addresses (which may be used to estimate general location), device or other identifiers such as the Android advertising ID, app and advertising interactions, and diagnostic information such as crash logs and performance data. Google uses this information for advertising, measurement and analytics, service operation, and fraud or abuse prevention. Processing depends on SDK settings, consent choices, and applicable law.
Firebase. The information processed depends on which Firebase products and settings are enabled. Depending on the service, this may include app-instance or installation identifiers, device and app information, usage events, or diagnostic information. The use of Firebase alone does not mean that every Firebase product, Analytics, or Crashlytics is enabled. Firebase is not used by NoteGuru Studio to upload your note content.
3. Sharing and use of information
We do not sell your note content or share it with advertisers. Technical and advertising information may be transmitted directly to Google by the integrated SDKs for the purposes described above. Google may process information with its service providers in accordance with its policies and applicable law.
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and any information you choose to include. We use this only to respond, provide support, and handle privacy requests. Please do not include sensitive note content in your message.
4. Retention and deletion
NoteGuru Studio does not retain a server-side copy of your notes. You can remove local notes in the app, or remove local app data using your device’s settings. Clearing app storage or uninstalling the app generally removes its local data; copies you export and device or operating-system backups are managed separately through the relevant service or device settings.
Google controls retention and deletion of information processed by Firebase and AdMob under its applicable policies. Retention varies by service and purpose; we do not promise a single retention period for all Google SDK data. See Google’s data retention policy for more information.
Support correspondence is retained only as needed to resolve your request and meet applicable legal obligations. To request deletion of correspondence or ask about other information, contact us at the address below. We cannot directly delete information controlled independently by Google, but can help identify the relevant privacy resources.
5. Your privacy choices
You can manage or delete your advertising ID and adjust advertising privacy settings where supported by your Android version. You can also review Google My Ad Center. Limiting ad personalization does not necessarily stop all SDK data processing or remove advertisements.
Where consent is required for advertising-related processing, it must be obtained through the app’s applicable consent flow. This privacy policy does not replace that consent. Any choices to withdraw or change consent depend on the privacy controls available in the app and on your device.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information, or to withdraw consent. Contact us for requests concerning information we control, and use Google’s privacy resources for information Google controls.
6. Security and international processing
Keeping note content on your device limits our access to it. Please protect your device and any backups. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.
Google may process SDK information on servers outside your country, subject to the safeguards described in its privacy policies.
7. Children’s privacy
We do not knowingly receive children’s note content or knowingly solicit their personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information to NoteGuru Studio, contact us so we can review and delete information under our control as appropriate.
Third-party advertising processing is described above. Children’s use and any related advertising must be subject to applicable age, parental-consent, and child-protection requirements.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to NoteGuru, third-party services, or legal requirements. The current version will be available on this page with an updated date. Material changes will be communicated where required by applicable law.
